Speech Language Pathologist in Tacoma, WA

This onsite role is available immediately and runs through the end of the school year, with both full-time and part-time schedules available to suit your needs. You’ll have input into your caseload—working with elementary, middle, or high school students—based on your interests and skill set, with student numbers typically around 45 or more.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Washington State SLP license with ESA certification
- Open to Clinical Fellowship (CFY) candidates and fully credentialed SLPs (CCC-SLP)
- Recent fingerprint clearance through OSPI (within two years)
- School-based or pediatric speech therapy experience is advantageous
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students to identify communication challenges—including receptive and expressive language, articulation, voice, fluency, and neuromuscular or non-vocal issues
- Document assessments and clearly connect communication disorders to educational performance
- Develop and implement targeted treatment plans, including recommendations for interventions and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and engage with families and staff to support positive student outcomes
- Balance a competitive caseload, making a difference across elementary, middle, or high school settings
