Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Active state license (or eligibility) as an SLP in Rhode Island.
- CCC-SLP credential or currently working towards completing CFY.
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes and ability to conduct assessments and write reports.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with students, staff, and families.
- Commitment to culturally responsive and inclusive practices.
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students with speech, language, and communication needs.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in alignment with IEP goals.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
- Consult and collaborate regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation, write progress reports, and participate in IEP meetings as required.
- Serve as a resource for school staff on best practices for communication development.
