Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current or eligible Rhode Island state licensure
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) welcomed; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply
- Previous experience in a school-based SLP role is an asset
- Proficiency in evaluation, diagnosis, and development of comprehensive treatment plans
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills
- Ability to foster a positive, encouraging environment for students
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students of varying ages and needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Provide direct therapy and support services, adapting techniques for diverse learning styles
- Maintain clear, detailed documentation and progress records
- Offer consultative support and strategies for teachers and families
- Participate in school-based meetings, IEP reviews, and professional development activities
