School Speech Language Pathologist - Pottstown, Pennsylvania
Step into a fulfilling role supporting students as a valued Speech-Language Pathologist in a school-based setting this fall. This full-time contract position begins August 19th and continues through December 23rd, with the possibility of extending for the full academic year. You’ll work Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM, collaborating with a dynamic educational team and making a difference in students’ communication journeys.
What we’re seeking:
- Current licensure as an SLP, with CCC credentials completed
- Previous experience working in schools or with school-aged populations
- Expertise with IEP development, meetings, and implementation
- Skillful in speech and language evaluations and daily therapy sessions
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
- Enthusiastic team player who values collaboration with teachers and families
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing a caseload averaging around 45 students, ensuring individualized attention and growth
- Conducting speech and language assessments and producing thorough reports
- Developing, attending, and supporting IEP meetings and customized therapy plans
- Providing direct therapy across speech and language domains
- Collaborating with faculty to support students’ educational progress
- Documenting progress and maintaining compliance with all school and state guidelines
