School Speech Language Pathologist - Norristown, Pennsylvania
Step into a vital role supporting students and staff in a school-based setting as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist. This is a contract opportunity beginning August 19th through December 23rd, with potential for extension throughout the entire academic year. You'll work Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., in an engaging environment serving a caseload of approximately 45 students.
If you have experience as a school-based SLP and enjoy providing essential services through assessments and the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), you'll thrive here. Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Speech-Language Pathology license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Experience in school settings preferred
- Skilled in completing IEPs and conducting evaluations
- Comfortable managing a caseload of approximately 45 students
- Strong organizational, documentation, and communication abilities
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to enhance student support
- Maintain accurate records and document progress efficiently
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet each student’s unique needs
