School Speech and Language Pathologist | Pottstown, Pennsylvania
Step into a dynamic, rewarding Speech-Language Pathologist role with a full-time contract opportunity starting in early May and extending through June 9, with the strong possibility of further work during Extended School Year (ESY). Qualifications and Skills:
- Active SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Previous experience in school-based settings, ideally with K-12 populations
- Comfort and confidence working with students requiring behavioral and autism support
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt strategies to individual student needs and changing situations
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students across grade levels
- Complete evaluations, maintain accurate records, and document progress toward IEP goals
- Collaborate with teaching staff, support personnel, and families to ensure comprehensive service integration
- Implement behavior management techniques as appropriate, with access to ongoing support
- Participate in IEP meetings, planning sessions, and professional development as needed
