Speech Language Pathologist in Pocomoke City, MD

This contract opportunity spans the upcoming academic year, beginning August 17th, 2026, through June 14th, 2027, and offers a flexible schedule of 20–25 hours per week. Your expertise will support an active caseload of 20 students and include the rewarding responsibility of supervising an SLPA. This position is available on either an onsite or hybrid basis due to supervision needs.
Key qualifications and background for success:
- Current Speech-Language Pathologist license in Maryland
- Maryland Teaching Certificate required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Demonstrated experience in school-based settings
- Previous supervision of SLPA or similar experience is an asset
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Responsibilities in this role:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders for a caseload of 20 students
- Provide ongoing supervision and mentorship to an SLPA
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student learning goals
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and monitor progress
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and professional development activities
