Step into a rewarding, full-time opportunity supporting elementary students in a dynamic school-based setting near Plainfield, IL. This contract position offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:45 am to 4:00 pm, with a 30-minute lunch break each day, allowing for a balanced workday and the chance to make a lasting impact in the lives of young learners.

You’ll provide comprehensive speech-language pathology services to an elementary caseload of approximately 40 students, with a primary focus on those in our STARS program. Collaborate with dedicated educators, participate in interdisciplinary teams, and help shape an encouraging educational environment for students needing speech and language support. You’ll have access to resources, professional development, and a supportive network to help you succeed in your role.

Desired qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Illinois SLP license and appropriate certifications
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
  • Previous school-based SLP experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
  • Passion for supporting diverse learners in an elementary school setting
  • Ability to organize and manage a caseload of approximately 40 students

Key responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for students with speech and language challenges
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families
  • Provide direct therapy services and track student progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable insights regarding student needs and achievements
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and district policies
