Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school-based team in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. About the Position

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to provide evaluation, therapy, and consultation services for students in a school-based setting. The ideal candidate will collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ communication development, academic success, and overall educational experience.

Job Duties

  • Evaluate students to identify speech, language, communication, and related needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student goals and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students across assigned grade levels
  • Complete assessments, evaluations, progress reports, and required documentation
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers
  • Provide evidence-based interventions targeting articulation, language development, fluency, social communication, and other areas of need
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy strategies as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
  • Collaborate with educational teams to ensure students receive appropriate services and accommodations
  • Support an inclusive learning environment that encourages student growth and independence

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid Massachusetts Speech-Language Pathologist license through the Massachusetts Board of Registration for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • Valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) license/endorsement as a Speech, Language, and Hearing Disorders Teacher (Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities), as required for school-based practice
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or completion of required Clinical Fellowship requirements
  • Completion of required supervised clinical experience
  • Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and school-based service delivery models
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to effectively support students with diverse communication needs
  • Successful completion of required background screening and district onboarding requirements
