Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Philadelphia, PA
Step into a dynamic opportunity to support students as a Speech-Language Pathologist working with a unique population. This contract role spans the school year (August through June), offering full-time hours from 8:00 am to 3:15 pm, Monday through Friday. Work with a caseload of 22 students with multiple disabilities, including those who are blind or visually impaired, providing impactful direct therapy services.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Pennsylvania SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience or strong interest in pediatric and school-based settings
- Skills in teletherapy and willingness to deliver services both virtually and onsite as needed
- Previous experience supporting students with multiple disabilities, particularly visual impairments, is highly valued
- Collaborative mindset and effective communication skills for working with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to a caseload of 22 students, ages and schools may vary
- Develop and implement IEP goals tailored to students who are blind or visually impaired and have multiple disabilities
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to promote generalization of skills across environments
- Conduct assessments, maintain thorough documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Adapt therapy methods to align with each student’s unique needs and abilities, ensuring meaningful progress
