Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current CCC-SLP or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- State licensure for speech-language pathology (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
- Experience working in a school setting or with elementary-aged children preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Familiarity with goal setting, progress monitoring, and state/federal documentation requirements
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in 4th through 6th grades
- Conduct assessments, interpret results, and recommend appropriate interventions
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student's needs
- Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and caregivers to support student success
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes in compliance with school and legal requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and serve as a resource to educational teams
