You’ll work a consistent 37.5 hours per week, making a direct impact in the classroom and helping students find their voices.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Hold (or eligible for) SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY credentials
- Previous experience working in school settings strongly preferred
- Knowledge of speech, language, and communication disorders affecting elementary students
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Current or eligible Michigan state SLP licensure
Role Responsibilities:
- Evaluate speech, language, and communication disorders in 4th–6th grade students
- Develop and deliver individualized therapy sessions according to IEP goals
- Maintain accurate progress documentation and reporting
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education staff for student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility decisions, and the development of intervention strategies
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet the diverse needs of students
