Three full-time contract positions are available for experienced and passionate school-based Speech-Language Pathologists dedicated to empowering student communication and learning. Roles are based entirely onsite, with placements within high school, middle school, and elementary settings for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license in Alabama
- SLP Educator certification required (See the Alabama Department of Education site for verification)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellow (CF) eligible
- Previous experience in school settings preferred
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
Position Highlights:
- Academic year contract: August 4, 2026 – May 27, 2027
- Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours per week
- Support a diverse caseload of approximately 60 students
- Multiple school sites available: one high school full-time opening, and two split positions covering elementary and middle schools
- Onsite service delivery only (no virtual options)
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and implement individualized therapy for students with communication disorders
- Collaborate with school teams, families, and other professionals for student success
- Develop and maintain IEP documentation and progress tracking
- Provide direct intervention and consultative support within the educational environment
- Engage students in creative, effective language and speech improvement strategies
