This role offers a school-year commitment at sites such as Burkett Preschool, Hueytown Primary, Lipscomb Elementary/Hueytown Middle, Pinson Valley High School, and UW/Bagley. Work exclusively onsite and make an impact on a diverse student caseload of approximately 60.
Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current SLP Certification in Alabama and SLP Educator certification (verify eligibility and fingerprinting requirements on the Alabama Department of Education website)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Prior school-based SLP experience preferred
- Strong ability to manage a multi-site caseload
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide assessments, develop goals, and deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student growth
- Complete comprehensive progress monitoring, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Travel between assigned school locations may be required
- Uphold best practices and ethical standards in all therapeutic sessions
