School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Pearland, Texas
Step into a fulfilling opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a dynamic school setting near Pearland, TX. This contract assignment is set to begin as soon as possible and will extend through May 21, 2027, offering the chance to make a lasting impact within the academic community. You’ll be working onsite in a collaborative environment with access to a broad network of professional resources.
Your role will focus on a caseload of approximately 60 students, and as part of this position, you can expect to travel between multiple locations as needed. The selection process includes an interview with the Coordinator of Evaluations, designed to match your skills and approach with the needs of the student population.
Preferred Skills and Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Eligible for state licensure as an SLP in Texas
- Experience working within school environments strongly preferred
- Comfortable managing a caseload of 60, including travel to several campuses as assigned
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide screenings, evaluations, and direct therapy to students with speech and language needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Offer consultation and collaboration with teachers, parents, and other providers
- Maintain clear documentation of progress and services
- Participate in meetings and multidisciplinary evaluation teams as required
