Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Pawtucket, Rhode Island
Step into a rewarding role providing speech-language pathology services to preschool students in a supportive and collaborative educational setting near Pawtucket, RI. This contract position places you at the forefront of early childhood intervention, making a lasting difference for young learners while working with a manageable caseload of approximately 40 students.
You’ll provide individualized speech therapy, conduct assessments, and develop customized treatment plans while collaborating closely with teachers and families. With a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week across five days, you'll be a consistent, trusted professional for your students throughout the school year. This assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through June 2027, offering the potential for stability and professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active MA SLP state license
- DESE certification
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience in pediatric, healthcare, and school-based speech therapy strongly preferred
- Proven ability to manage preschool caseloads and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to preschool-aged students
- Conduct evaluations, maintain accurate progress notes, and develop IEP goals
- Collaborate with educators, families, and related services providers
- Attend meetings and participate in multidisciplinary discussions focused on student progress
- Provide expertise in communication development appropriate to the preschool age group
