Speech Language Pathologist in Paterson, NJ
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist serving a vibrant district near Paterson, NJ. This full-time role runs from 8:15AM to 3:15PM, 35 hours weekly, supporting students across the district. With a start date as soon as possible, your experience and commitment will make a real difference through June 25, 2027.
You’ll enjoy a dynamic work environment where your expertise is highly valued and where you can truly make an impact across a diverse caseload. As an integral part of the district-wide team, you will provide a wide range of speech and language services, assessments, and support.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active NJ Speech-Language Pathologist licensure (CCC required)
- Recent school-based SLP experience supporting students in educational settings
- Able to confidently manage a diverse caseload, including testing, evaluations, and assessments
- Must provide own testing materials as required by the district
- Experience working district-wide or with multiple sites preferred
- Reliable transportation and comfort with daily district commute
- Comfortable navigating onboarding requirements: TB screening, physical, fingerprinting
- No current need for CF or SLPA applicants due to supervision limitations
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students with varying needs
- Conduct formal assessments, develop individualized educational plans, and complete timely documentation
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and other professionals to foster student success
- Provide support across multiple school sites as required by the district
