Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Paterson, New Jersey

Located near Paterson, NJ, this full-time leave coverage position runs from September through October and offers the chance to work with a diverse caseload in a supportive school community.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLP license in New Jersey
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience highly preferred
- Competency in managing caseloads that include both general education and special education students
- Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills
What You'll Do:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in elementary (about 15 students, approximately 1.5 days/week), as well as middle and high school levels
- Support a majority middle school caseload, including students in self-contained LLD and Autism (AU) classrooms
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and participate in meetings as required
- Track progress and maintain accurate records
- Serve as a resource for families and school staff on speech-language issues
- Adapt interventions to meet culturally and linguistically diverse student needs
Working hours align with school schedules: Elementary (8:45am-3pm), Middle (8:30am-2:50pm), and High School (8:05am-3pm), Monday through Friday.
