In this position, you’ll work with preschoolers in community schools, elementary students in Magnolia and Prospect Mill Elementary, and middle schoolers at Aberdeen Middle School. The elementary and secondary assignments require collaborative supervision of an SLPA, ensuring comprehensive support to students with varying communication needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Maryland professional SLP licensure (must provide images/proof)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) mandatory
- Experiencing serving preschool, elementary, or middle school students within a school setting
- Familiarity with itinerant and site-based service models
- Prior experience supervising SLPAs (for secondary assignment)
- Completion of district credentialing requirements, including background screening and employment history verification per House Bill 486
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Develop, implement, and track individualized goals through IEPs
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, including popular consultation with families and teachers
- Supervise SLPAs (as applicable) and participate in meetings and professional development activities
- Deliver services on-site and travel between assigned campuses if needed
