Step into a dynamic role supporting students across the Baltimore area as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the upcoming school year. This unique opportunity involves supporting preschool, elementary, and secondary students within welcoming, collaborative school communities. Both full-time (37.5 hours/week) and part-time (30 hours/week, flexible scheduling) positions are available.
You’ll provide in-person therapy, with assignments at community preschool locations (itinerant) and specific elementary and middle schools. The secondary caseload includes key collaboration with an SLPA requiring supervision and joint service delivery. Assignments begin in January and March 2026, with potential to extend into summer services.
Successful candidates will possess:
- Active Maryland professional licensure for SLP (CCC)
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings
- Flexibility to travel between locations as needed
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Commitment to inclusive, evidence-based practices
- Capability to supervise and support SLPA
- Availability for district-required credentialing including background checks and fingerprinting (House Bill 486 compliance)
- Ability to present license documentation at onboarding
Responsibilities include:
- Assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in students from preschool through grade 8
- Developing and implementing IEP goals and therapy plans
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, school staff, and families to promote student success
- Supervising an SLPA (for secondary caseloads)
- Maintaining timely and accurate student documentation
- Participating in eligibility and IEP meetings as needed
Pay is structured by experience, offering competitive rates up to $61 per hour for the most experienced clinicians.
