School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Gaithersburg, Maryland
Make an impact in the lives of students by delivering essential speech-language services in a supportive school setting near Gaithersburg, MD. Currently seeking three skilled professionals for Contract positions running from ASAP through June 17, 2026, with 35 hours per week. This is an on-site opportunity where you’ll collaborate with educational staff and empower young learners to unlock their communication potential.
Ideal candidates hold an active Maryland SLP license, and while holding the CCC is preferred, strong Clinical Fellows will also be considered. You’ll be placed in schools across the Rockville/Washington DC area, and your specific caseload and age groups will be determined based on assignment and district need.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Maryland SLP licensure (present image of license at onboarding)
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA; strong CFs welcome to apply
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Experience supporting school-aged children preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with teams in a dynamic, multicultural school environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized IEPs and therapy plans based on student needs
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students
- Consult closely with teachers, families, and support staff
- Maintain up-to-date records and thorough assessment documentation
