Speech-Language Pathologist in Parkville, MD
Make a real impact as a Speech Language Pathologist, providing essential support to students across the Baltimore area. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work in community preschool settings, elementary schools, and middle schools, all while collaborating closely with dedicated educational teams. Full-time and flexible part-time positions are available with start dates in January, February, or March, offering the potential to extend into summer programming.
What You'll Bring:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology and active Maryland SLP (CCC) license
- Experience working in school-based settings, with an adaptable approach to elementary, secondary, and preschool populations
- Willingness to supervise an SLPA as part of service delivery
- Ability to travel between community preschool and elementary locations as an itinerant provider (where applicable)
- Proficiency with required time-sensitive credentialing: House Bill 486 district fingerprinting and background check
- Prepared to present documentation of licensure during the credentialing process
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thoughtful evaluations and deliver individualized speech/language services to a diverse caseload ranging from preschoolers to middle schoolers
- Develop and implement IEPs, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and maintain clear communication with families and staff
- Supervise and support assigned SLPA services for secondary students (grades 6–8)
- Travel between assigned sites, managing engaging sessions across different age groups and educational environments
- Collect data, monitor student progress, and document intervention outcomes
