Speech Language Pathologist in Baltimore, MD
Step into a highly valued role supporting students as a Speech Language Pathologist (CCC) with a dynamic school-based team in the Baltimore area. We are welcoming three dedicated professionals—two full-time and one part-time—to work on-site within engaging educational settings ranging from community preschools to elementary and middle schools. Contract durations span from January through June, with possible extensions into ESY in July.
Your impact will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy for preschool, elementary, and middle school students
- Deliver itinerant services in community preschools or serve specific school sites
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to foster student development
- Oversee and support services performed by an SLPA (for secondary/middle school caseloads)
- Complete documentation, progress monitoring, and IEP participation aligned with district protocols
- Uphold all ethical and legal standards for school-based clinical practice
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid Maryland professional SLP licensure (please have images ready for credentialing)
- Experience in school settings (preferably including early childhood, elementary, or middle school)
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
- District-mandated background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review per HB 486
- Strong communication skills and adaptability in diverse educational environments
