School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Parkville, Maryland
Make a meaningful impact in the Baltimore area by supporting students as a Speech Language Pathologist on a contract assignment. You'll work alongside committed professionals to help children develop the communication skills they need to thrive in both academic and social settings. Several positions are available, including both full-time and part-time opportunities, with flexibility to extend coverage into the Extended School Year in July if desired.
What We’re Looking For:
- Current Maryland Professional Licensure in Speech Language Pathology (CCC required)
- Experience in school settings preferred, supporting ages PreK through 8th grade
- Ability to provide supervision for an SLPA (for secondary caseloads)
- Willingness to complete time-sensitive credentialing, including district background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review (per House Bill 486)
- Flexible to work itinerant assignments in community preschool locations, or consistent coverage at specific elementary and middle schools
- Availability for a prescreen interview (let us know your best times, ideally between 9-11 a.m. or 2-3 p.m. EST, with some flexibility)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy in preschool, elementary, and/or middle school settings
- Support students’ IEP goals and document progress according to district guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to best support student development
- Supervise an SLPA for secondary student support as required
- Manage caseload and scheduling responsibilities across assigned sites
