Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Port Saint Lucie, FL
Step into a dynamic role supporting students’ communication needs in Southeast Florida with multiple full-time contract opportunities for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP-CCC). These positions serve elementary through high school students across 1-2 school sites, with assignments spanning the full 2026-2027 academic year (August 5, 2026 – June 1, 2027). Some assignments involve maternity leave coverage, offering flexibility for the full year or shorter-term travel contracts.
You'll work alongside passionate teams and dedicated SLPs and SLPAs at select campuses, providing essential support to general education, ASD, EBD, and InD units. Caseloads may range from K-8 resource therapy to high school students, with specific assignments tailored to your strengths and availability.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active and current SLP licensure required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in SLP
- Experience in a school setting preferred
- Ability to manage caseloads independently, collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary staff
- Commitment to fingerprinting and timely completion of credentialing requirements
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language services to assigned student caseloads
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain ongoing communication with parents and staff
- Complete compliance documentation in accordance with district guidelines
- Collaborate with onsite teams where applicable, or function independently as needed
- Adapt services to varied age ranges and exceptional education units
