Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist license (CCC required)
- Strong experience supporting elementary-aged students in school settings
- Profound understanding of common childhood speech and language disorders, as well as evidence-based therapeutic interventions
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments for elementary students
- Create and deliver targeted treatment plans tailored to each child's needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary team members to optimize student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation for IEPs, progress reports, and evaluations
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert recommendations
- Serve as a resource and advocate for students with speech/language challenges
