A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide essential services in a school setting near Ottumwa, IA, and northern surrounding areas. This position offers a structured Monday-Thursday schedule, supporting students with diverse communication needs through in-person and teletherapy approaches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology evaluations and treatment plans aligned with Iowa IEP requirements.
- Utilize the ACHIEVE system effectively for documentation and progress monitoring.
- Collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals to support pediatric populations.
- Provide services in school and healthcare environments as needed.
- Support or complete Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) requirements for eligible candidates.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP - CCC) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant credentials.
- Experience in pediatric care, teletherapy, or healthcare settings preferred.
- Familiarity with Iowa IEP regulations and ACHIEVE software.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work within scheduled hours, Monday through Thursday, with early school year completion.
Location and Schedule:
- Position located near Ottumwa, Iowa, serving local schools and regions to the north.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Thursday, with Fridays off (8:00 AM to 3:30 PM on Thursdays).
- The academic year typically concludes by Memorial Day weekend, allowing for a balanced work-life rhythm.
