Speech Language Pathologist in Orland Park, IL
Take your expertise in speech-language pathology into an enriching school-based setting supporting Pre-K through 5th-grade students. Two contract opportunities are available, one full-time (37.5 hours/week across two buildings) and one part-time position (2-3 days per week, open to SLPs or SLPAs). You'll collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to develop communication skills that create lasting academic and social success.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- SLPs must hold CCC certification and be eligible for state licensure
- SLPAs must have appropriate state credentials for school-based practice
- Experience with elementary-aged students and IEP processes is highly valued
- Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings for Pre-K through 5th-grade students
- Provide both direct and consultative therapy services in alignment with IEP goals
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with school and state standards
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff development as required
- Contribute positively to the school community and foster a supportive environment for students
