Pediatric Speech Pathology - Ontario, CA
A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist to work with K-12 students in a school setting. This engaging role is ideal for a skilled SLP with school-based experience who is passionate about making a positive impact in students’ lives. The assignment begins immediately and continues through the end of the current school year, with the potential to renew for the next academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid California SLP license (CCC required)
- Experience in school environments and with pediatric populations
- Comfort with teletherapy platforms as well as onsite services
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with students, staff, and parents
- Ability to work independently at one school site
- Please note: SLPAs and Clinical Fellows (CFs) will not be considered for this position
Scope of Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to a diverse K-12 caseload
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement IEPs in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school-based team members
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Participate in meetings regarding student development and educational plans
- Use both in-person and teletherapy service delivery methods as needed
Position Details:
- Approximately 10-15 hours per week
- Regular schedule: 7:30am–3:00pm
- Assignment runs through the end of the school year, with the possibility to continue
