Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Relevant state licensure or eligibility to obtain prior to start date
- Previous experience working with school-aged or elementary-aged populations preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Commitment to providing evidence-based, individualized therapy in a school setting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for speech, language, and communication disorders
- Provide direct therapy to students, adapting methods and materials for individual needs
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of evaluations, progress reports, and session notes
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and caregivers to support student success
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, offering expert input and progress updates
- Contribute to a positive school-based therapy team while fostering an inclusive, supportive atmosphere for all students
