Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Active license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Ability to effectively collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Comfortable delivering direct and group speech-therapy services
- Excellent communication and organization skills
Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct assessments to determine speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop, implement, and track progress on individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Provide direct speech and language therapy tailored to student needs
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families
- Create engaging lesson plans and therapy materials
- Maintain accurate therapy notes, progress reports, and related documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to student support teams
- Provide guidance and resources for classroom staff to reinforce therapy goals
