Pediatric Speech Pathology - Oakland, CA
Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity supporting students near Oakland, CA as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This full-time, contract position runs from ASAP through the end of the school year, offering both direct and indirect therapy services within a dynamic educational setting. Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLP licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility
- Previous experience in school-based, pediatric, or healthcare SLP settings is highly desirable
- Strong skills in delivering both direct and consultative speech and language services
- Experience or enthusiasm for collaborating on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Proficiency in documentation and progress reporting
- Teletherapy experience a plus
- Candidates with an SLPA (Speech-Language Pathology Assistant) credential are also welcome to apply
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders for school-aged children
- Deliver both direct therapy to students and indirect consultative services for staff and families
- Maintain accurate records, therapy logs, and progress notes in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Communicate regularly with families and staff to support student outcomes
- Support a caseload of diverse learners with varying needs
