School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | North Tonawanda, New York
Step into a rewarding position working as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a specialized educational environment dedicated to serving children with Autism. This contract opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 school year, offering both full-time in-person roles (35 hours per week) and flexible part-time options to fit your needs. Work with students ages 3-21 in a supportive team, where your interests in caseload and age group preferences can be accommodated.
Required Experience & Credentials:
- Active New York Speech-Language Pathology license
- New York Teaching Certification—TSSH or TSSLD
- Current Medicaid number/OPRA number and NPI number
- Prior experience with school-based SLP services (SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, SLP-School)
- Strong clinical communication skills and collaborative spirit
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language evaluations and therapy interventions
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create individualized plans
- Maintain thorough documentation and fulfill Medicaid billing requirements
- Support students’ communication goals to enhance learning, engagement, and independence
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development
