A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for an Extended School Year (ESY) program in Philadelphia, PA. This onsite contract position offers a focused opportunity to support students during the summer months, providing essential speech and language services in a school setting.
The role requires candidates with experience as an SLP in schools, including those holding CCC certifications and individuals completing Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). The position is structured for four days per week at 6.5 hours per day, totaling 26 hours weekly. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., aligning well with the ESY program calendar.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid and current Speech-Language Pathologist license appropriate for the state
- Experience working in school settings with students of varying needs
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completion or in-progress status considered
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is preferred
- Strong understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and educational speech therapy techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to eligible students during the ESY program
- Assess and document student progress according to school and state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, caregivers, and school staff to support communication development
- Maintain accurate and timely records of services provided
