Pediatric School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Norfolk, Virginia

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2026-2027 school year in Norfolk, VA. This role involves delivering comprehensive communication services to students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade within a school setting, following the academic calendar from August 2026 to June 2027.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders among students.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) and 504 plan goals in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide both direct and indirect therapy services tailored to student needs.
- Monitor and document student progress regularly to ensure effective interventions.
- Consult with teachers, parents, and school administrators to support student success and promote effective communication strategies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid state license as an SLP or eligibility for licensure.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
- Experience working with pediatric and school-based populations is highly desirable.
- Skills in teletherapy, pediatric healthcare, and school-based settings are advantageous.
- SLPA experience in school or healthcare environments is a plus.
