Key Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current SLP-CCC certification
- Previous experience with school-aged or middle school populations preferred
- Strong skills in assessment, goal-setting, and intervention planning
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage a middle school caseload, running 35 hours per week from August 24th to December 22nd
- Conduct and interpret formal assessments for special education eligibility
- Observe students in classrooms to evaluate social and academic communication
- Develop and monitor individualized long- and short-term speech/language goals
- Deliver direct intervention services including speech sound, language, and pragmatic skills
- Train students to use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices
- Collaborate with general education staff to support inclusive practices
- Partner with families to reinforce goals at home
- Accurately document sessions for Medicaid billing compliance
