Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting middle school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) from August 24th through December 22nd. In this role, you’ll work 35 hours a week with a diverse caseload, making a significant impact on students’ social, academic, and communicative development.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active SLP-CCC credential
  • Experience working with middle school-aged students preferred
  • Familiarity with administering and interpreting formal assessments for special education eligibility
  • Knowledge of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff and families
  • Understanding of Medicaid billing procedures is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct classroom observations to assess how communication affects student performance
  • Develop and implement individualized, measurable goals for each student
  • Provide direct instruction to enhance speech production, language processing, and social communication skills (pragmatics)
  • Train students in the use of AAC devices, such as speech-generating tablets or picture boards
  • Participate in push-in services within general education classrooms to support students’ real-time communication needs
  • Collaborate with families, offering resources and activities to reinforce goals at home
  • Maintain thorough documentation to support Medicaid billing requirements
