School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Newport, New Hampshire
Support a small, focused caseload with students who experience selective mutism, making a direct impact in a specialized school setting. This contract opportunity is perfect for a Speech-Language Pathologist ready to provide impactful, individualized services in a flexible, one-day-per-week schedule.
This assignment targets the 2026-2027 school year, with services set to begin right away and extend through June 21, 2027. You'll work closely with a handful of students (approximately three), conducting direct sessions, collaborating within multidisciplinary teams, and documenting your intervention—all in a concentrated eight-hour workday each week.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Holds active and current Speech-Language Pathologist licensure in New Hampshire
- Brings at least clinical or classroom experience treating students with selective mutism
- Has achieved the Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Prior school-based SLP experience highly preferred
- Strong skills in documentation, communication, and remote or in-person collaboration
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services, primarily focusing on students with selective mutism
- Conduct evaluations, therapy sessions, monitor and document progress
- Attend required team meetings and contribute expert insights to IEP processes
- Communicate clearly with educators and caregivers on student strategies and progress
- Complete all administrative documentation timely to support compliance and student success
This position provides the flexibility of working a single eight-hour day per week, with a caseload that allows for individualized attention and a deep connection to each student's growth. Compensation is competitive and reflects the specialized expertise required for this role.
