Ideal qualifications and desired experience include:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date)
- Previous experience in pediatric, early childhood, or school-based SLP roles
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and staff
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with a range of speech/language, communication, and swallowing disorders
- Adaptable and compassionate approach to diverse student needs
Key responsibilities and daily duties:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments for students across K–12
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver direct therapy services to students with a variety of speech, language, and communication needs
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers
- Document and track progress toward student goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team-based decision making
