Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Virginia SLP License (required)
  • Passion for working with school-aged children or pediatric populations
  • Meets or exceeds requirements for SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and best practices for intervention in an educational setting
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Commitment to professional growth and ethical standards

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students with communication challenges
  • Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services in accordance with IEP goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ success in the classroom
  • Maintain accurate records and progress reports
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to eligibility and placement decisions
  • Support students’ social, emotional, and academic growth through innovative therapy techniques
