A contract opportunity for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist is available in a dynamic school environment near Newark, NJ. This district-wide position requires coverage across school sites, providing the chance to work with diverse student populations in both individual and group settings. The assignment is full time, 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM, with immediate start and extends through June 25, 2027.
Key Qualifications:
- Active NJ SLP licensure (CCC required)
- Previous school-based SLP experience essential
- Comfortable adapting to district-wide needs and servicing varying caseloads
- Ability to independently complete testing, evaluations, and assessments
- Must provide your own testing materials
- Reliable transportation and proximity to the school district needed
- Willingness to undergo TB test, physical exam, and fingerprinting for onboarding
- No consideration for Clinical Fellow or SLPA candidates due to supervision requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to students district-wide
- Conduct, score, and document required assessments and evaluations
- Consult and collaborate with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate and timely student records in compliance with school standards
- Address a variety of communication disorders within a flexible caseload
- Effectively manage scheduling and travel across multiple school sites, as needed
