Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Full-Time | Newark, MD | 2026-2027
Looking for a rewarding school-based opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year? Join Worcester County Public Schools as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist serving young learners in a collaborative and supportive environment. You'll work alongside another SLP to provide services that help students develop the communication skills they need to thrive.
Position Overview
- Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Location: Newark, MD
- School District: Worcester County Public Schools
- Employment Type: Contract
- Schedule: Full-Time, 35 hours per week
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- School Year: August 24, 2026 – June 30, 2027
Caseload
- Approximately 40-50 students
- Shared caseload with another supporting SLP
- Grade Levels: Pre-K 3 through 3rd Grade
- Students with mild to moderate disabilities
Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language therapy services to students receiving speech services
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation
- Support students in achieving their communication goals
Qualifications
- Active Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Maryland Department of Health Certification required
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- School-based experience is preferred but not required
Compensation
- $50-$60 per hour, based on experience
