Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid Connecticut licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred; strong CFY candidates considered
- Prior experience with K–12 populations, including students with diverse communication needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders within a K-12 caseload
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in partnership with the special education team
- Deliver engaging therapy sessions, both one-on-one and in groups
- Consult with teachers and parents to support student success in the classroom
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation of evaluations, progress notes, and compliance records
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team planning
- Engage in professional development to stay current on best practices
