Pediatric Speech Therapist in Hamden, CT

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in Connecticut
- Comfortable working with a high school age group
- Experience or strong interest in pediatric, educational, and healthcare settings is a plus
- Open to both Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates and experienced SLPs
- Knowledge of contemporary therapy strategies tailored for adolescents
- Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, educators, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language interventions for high school students in an educational setting
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, or communication needs
- Consult regularly with teachers and participate in team meetings to support students’ academic and social success
- Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) as needed
