Qualifications:
- Active North Carolina SLP or SLPA license
- North Carolina DPI Special Service Personnel – School SLP Credential
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology (for SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY candidates)
- Bachelor’s degree required for SLPAs
- Prior school-based experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to a varied student population
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, administration, and other support professionals to integrate therapy goals into educational programs
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and mandated documentation
- Attend IEP meetings and participate in the development of education plans
- Support students’ academic and social success by targeting receptive, expressive, articulation, and pragmatic communication skills
- Engage families with strategies and communication updates
