Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid North Carolina Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- North Carolina DPI Special Service Personnel – School SLP Credential
- Open to candidates with CCC, CFY, or strong school-based SLP experience
- Solid understanding of IEP creation, speech/language assessments, and therapy delivery in school settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and educators
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students and interpret results to determine needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and goals
- Provide evidence-based therapy services to students individually or in groups
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and advocating for student needs
- Maintain thorough documentation, track student progress, and comply with state, federal, and district regulations
- Educate and support families and school staff about speech and language development and strategies
- Stay informed about current practices and new techniques in speech-language pathology
