Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid North Carolina Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license
  • North Carolina DPI Special Service Personnel – School SLP Credential
  • Open to candidates with CCC, CFY, or strong school-based SLP experience
  • Solid understanding of IEP creation, speech/language assessments, and therapy delivery in school settings
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and educators

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students and interpret results to determine needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and goals
  • Provide evidence-based therapy services to students individually or in groups
  • Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and advocating for student needs
  • Maintain thorough documentation, track student progress, and comply with state, federal, and district regulations
  • Educate and support families and school staff about speech and language development and strategies
  • Stay informed about current practices and new techniques in speech-language pathology
