Speech-Language Pathologist in Nellis Afb, NV
Make a meaningful impact in the Las Vegas area supporting local schools as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work directly on-site, fostering communication and growth among students. The role is perfect for dynamic individuals ready to start full-time at the end of July, with assignments lasting through late May. As needs vary, you’ll be assigned a caseload and schools based on district requirements, working with different age groups and enriching student experiences.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology completed; CFs considered, though CCC-SLPs are highly preferred
- Active Nevada Department of Education Certification
- Valid Nevada SLP License
- Full-time, on-site availability beginning July 29 through May 21 (no virtual, hybrid, or part-time arrangements)
- Willingness to undergo district-coordinated fingerprinting and credentialing upon offer
- Adaptable to varying school placements and caseload assignments
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Bilingual abilities are a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality SLP services tailored to caseload and age group in school settings
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school teams to optimize student outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to district and state compliance standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a supportive educational environment
