Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Nellis Afb, NV
Embark on a rewarding school-based assignment as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the vibrant Henderson, NV area, just a short drive from Nellis AFB. Two full-time positions have opened because of increased student needs and transitions, offering the chance to support K-12 students in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Hours for this contract role are 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with a standard 40-hour workweek. The placement runs from August 1, 2024, through May 31, 2027—providing long-term stability within a supportive school community. Serve a diverse caseload with a cap of 55 students, allowing you to focus on impactful intervention and individualized care. This in-person position welcomes experienced SLPs as well as Clinical Fellows (CFY) committed to developing their professional skills in pediatrics.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- SLP-CCC or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (CFY)
- Current NV SLP licensure or ability to secure before start date
- Experience in pediatric, school-based, and healthcare SLP settings strongly preferred
- Comfortable working with K-12 grade students
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in a school setting
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports
- Contribute positively to student growth and school community
