A K-12 public school in Washington, DC is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide targeted support during a maternity leave coverage period. This contract opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ communication development in a dynamic educational setting.

This position is part-time, requiring approximately 20 hours per week with the possibility of an additional 4 hours weekly. The assignment begins January 5, 2026, and concludes June 17, 2026. The role is fully onsite, supporting children across various developmental stages and communication needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educators and families
  • Facilitate direct therapy sessions and monitor student progress
  • Maintain thorough documentation and comply with school district protocols
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary intervention planning

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certification and licensure to practice in Washington, DC
  • Experience working in pediatric and school-based settings preferred
  • Familiarity with teletherapy is a plus but not required, as this position is onsite
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and families
  • Current Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are encouraged to apply
