Pediatric SLP in Washington Navy Yard, DC
A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at a K-12 school located in Washington Navy Yard, DC. This position involves providing specialized speech and language therapy services to students within the school setting. The role is initially covering a maternity leave starting as soon as possible with an anticipated end date of June 17, 2026. Work hours are part-time, approximately 20 hours per week, with a possibility of an additional 4 hours weekly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language pathology services to K-12 students, addressing various communication disorders.
- Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision guidelines for SLPs and support staff.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to support students' speech and language development.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school policies and regulatory standards.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to developing speech therapy goals aligned with students' educational needs.
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as an SLP in the District of Columbia.
- Experience providing speech-language therapy services in a school setting.
- Proficiency in teletherapy and pediatrics is a plus.
- Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Effective communication and organizational skills tailored for school environments.
