Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders required
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status accepted
- Illinois state licensure for SLPs (or eligibility to obtain)
- Professional experience in school-based, pediatric, or teletherapy settings strongly preferred
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is essential for evaluating and supporting diverse student populations
- Skilled in VOCO (virtual/online evaluation systems) and comfortable with technology-driven assessment tools
- Demonstrated understanding of SLP best practices for children from multicultural backgrounds
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct bilingual speech and language evaluations for students within the district, collaborating with educators and parents to determine appropriate supports
- Analyze assessment data and prepare comprehensive evaluation reports in both English and Spanish
- Consult with educational teams and families regarding findings, recommendations, and intervention strategies
- Utilize VOCO and similar platforms for virtual assessment and documentation
- Adhere to confidentiality and compliance standards for student records and assessments
